Our surroundings: The Pfaffenwinkel region

The Rechetsberg Manor is situated in the center of the so called Pfaffenwinkel, the region surrounding Weilheim, in the South of upper Bavaria. The region owes its melodious name to the multitude of monasteries, churches and chapels in the neighbourhood, where the word ''Pfaffe'' means pastor or friar. This is an extraordinariy cultural, historical region with enchanting geographical scenery.
